Take Advantage of Distance Education at Red River College

We all define it differently, but the notion of success drives us to work hard, improve our skills, and achieve our potential. When it comes to pursuing educational goals, location and scheduling are no longer the obstacles they once were.

Distance learning allows you to advance your career, enhance your skills or pursue new interests - all from the comfort of your own home. Red River College is excited to offer a range of such options through Continuing Education - including three diploma programs that can be completed entirely by distance - and to give you the chance to achieve invaluable credentials through in-depth and advanced learning.

Distance Learning courses are available on either a self-directed enrollment or term basis. Self-directed courses have varying (usually monthly) start dates, and must be completed within a specified time period. (Time frames vary from one to nine months.) Courses available on a "term" basis have specified start/end dates in fall, winter or spring, and must be completed by the dates specified.

Red River College offers over fifteen certificate and diploma programs that can be completed entirely via distance learning. Click on the program names below for more information:

International Registrations

Students registering for Distance Learning courses from outside of North America are subject to a surcharge of 30%. All tuition is paid in Canadian dollars and course materials are shipped by Air Mail.

Students who register online should send an email to cde@rrc.ca giving us permission to process the 30% surcharge using the same method of payment that was used for their web registration.

It is recommended that students have a high speed internet connection as some courses may require download of memory-intensive material. All communication with the instructor will be via e-mail.
